Invisalign®

Dr. Starling is a certified Invisalign® Teen® Provider. Invisalign® is a series of virtually invisible aligners that are used to straighten your teeth over time. The aligners are manufactured from high tech 3D computer imaging to fit your mouth with absolute precision. Invisalign® has been clinically proven to be effective in a variety of cases and may be effective for your particular situation. Common treatments include people with crowding, spacing, or relapse since previous orthodontic treatment.

How does the process work?

After your initial consultation, Dr. Starling will determine if Invisalign® treatment is right for you. If you are a candidate, highly accurate impressions will be taken which will be used to generate a 3D model of your teeth. It is from this model that your individual precise tooth movements will be determined and planned. A series of virtually undetectable clear aligners will be manufactured from this 3D model to achieve the desired outcome.

No Brackets or wires

Since there are no brackets or wires, Invisalign® treatment is some of the most comfortable orthodontic treatment available today. Oral hygiene is also easy to maintain because there are no brackets or wires, and the aligners are removable. Feel free to eat your favorite foods without sacrificing your lifestyle!

Treatment time

Average treatment times run from 9 to 15 months and usually require about 18 to 30 aligners. Each aligner is worn for two weeks before changing to the next aligner. The length of treatment is subject to how much movement is required for your particular situation and can be longer or shorter than average treatment times. Office visits are generally shorter with Invisalign® than with other orthodontic treatment modalities.
