About Dr. Starling
Dr. Starling is a certified orthodontist. He attended the University of Maryland achieving his Bachelor of Sciences Degree in Microbiology in 1997. Upon completing his studies at Maryland, he was accepted at the Medical College of Virginia, earning his Doctor of Dental Sciences Degree. It was clear to Dr. Starling that he wanted to continue his studies in dentistry. He applied for, and was accepted, at Vanderbilt's Orthodontic Residency Program. He completed his specialty training in 2004.
Dr. Starling is a member of the Nashville Dental Society, the Tennessee Dental Association, the American Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontists, the Tennessee Association of Orthodontists, the Millennium Dental Study Club and a member of the Governor's Club Dental Study Club. He belongs to St George's Episcopal Church and is a supporter of the Interfaith Dental Clinic. He enjoys sports, home improvement projects, food and traveling. He and his wife Margaret have one daughter, Lillian.
